RIVAL SONS - GET WHATS COMINWhen i heard for first time the single of RIVAL SONS "pressure and time" i started to wonder in which album of LED ZEPPELIN this track was hidden and when finally i realised that there is nowhere, i felt icredible joy that i discovered this band which is not another caricature of the 70"s but the opposite,they look so fresh and all the sings shows that they are here to stay.
The mixture is so well maded and has nothing to envy,JAY BUCHANAN the singer and frontman of the band is something between ROBERT PLANT and PAUL RODGERS at their best times,giving to his band what they need to take off and make the fans of BLUES ROCK to tweak each otherfrom delight.The sound of the band seems to have sprung from another era,but at the same time icredible fresh and this is something tha many bands tried in the past without success.
After three albums until now (before the fire-pressure and time-head down)RIVAL SONS conviced us that the pure HARD ROCK is not dead but a lot to give us,thanks to those guys whos still belive in that.Tracks like ALL OVER THE ROAD,GETS WHATS COMIN and of course SAVE YOUR SOUL FOR ME (specially the live version) improve that with the best way.
The golden age of ROCK and ROLL returns for good and a big part of this event we owe these lads RIVAL SONS is not one of the same for sure andwith a little attention to their music you will see how unique band they are,the mother of ROCK blessed her sons and offered to the people and we are grateful for this.
